Dr Vivienne Lo is Senior Lecturer in the History department of UCL and Director of the UCL China Centre for Health and Humanity. Her work is concerned with visual cultures of medicine in the ancient and medieval Chinese world and the history of food and medicine in China.

In 2006 the project Routes and Remedies recorded the healing arts of Asia as they survive in the ordinary things people do, every day, to keep body and soul together. The project ended in a major exhibition at Asia House, London.
