Scholar-practitioner of Chinese medicine, writer, reader, foodie, and first-gen student. As a clinician I advocate for accessible (low-fee, community-based) and culturally-grounded practice. As a historian my interests are wide-ranging, but frequently related to medical heterodoxy, including manuscripts, competing diagnostic frames, and therapeutic crossings of the folk and professional domains. My current project explores the food-medicine boundary in popular and medical texts.
