Video: Meta-approaches to Asian medicine, with Pierce Salguero part 1

A Tea Time Talk from July 31, 2020, with Pierce Salguero, medical historian and professor of Asian history, medicine, and religion at Penn State but also practitioner of Thai medicine, yoga, and Buddhism. He recently wrote a blog: Part one, “The Metamodern Approach to Asian Medicine,” encourages us to transcend the three approaches of traditionalists, modernists, and post-modernists to create a “metamodern Carnaval” where each of us can hold directly contradictory beliefs, and we actually embrace that dissonance. Part Two, “A Metadisciplinary Approach to Asian Medicine” offers a new model for “bringing people together in more productive and more generative ways.”
